Things to know about saving a life.

Don’t wait, every minute you delay CPR survival decreases by 7-10%.

  1. Check responsiveness, if there is no response call 112 / 082 911 or get a bystander to call.
  2. Check breathing, if there is no breathing start compression (hands) only CPR.
  3. Hands together, knuckles up. Push down on the breast bone.
  4. Push hard & fast, about 6cm deep, for 2 minutes, to the beat of the song Staying Alive.
  5. Don’t be afraid to use an AED, if one is available, switch it on and follow the prompts.
