Help keep a girl in school by contributing towards the Palesa Pads Drive.

It’s Women’s Month and as part of our ‘WoMine Cares’ pillar, we want to bring to light the challenges some women and girls in our country face on a regular basis. We invite you to join us on our journey towards a more environmentally friendly world, with reusable Palesa Pads, which are a step in the right direction. The Palesa Pads initiative not only helps women and girls each month, but also saves land¨ lls from tonnes of disposable sanitary products.

That is why we are partnering with Palesa Pads to distribute reusable pads to those in need. One Palesa Pads bucket contains six reusable pads, cleaning products, a drying clip and a hand mirror. These invaluable items can help a girl attend school every day.

How you can be a part of this great solution…

Simply donate, by scanning the SnapScan QR code at the canteen when you next get a meal.

The Palesa Pads team will be onsite at 144 Oxford from 28 to 31 August 2023 and at GSS on 6 and 7 September 2023. All you have to do is visit their stand, tap your card, and donate to this worthy cause.

About Palesa Pads:

Palesa Pads are made using soft, comfortable fabric that is quick absorbing, and is supported by a fully waterproof layer to prevent leaks. They can be worn for up to 12 hours depending on your flow. They are environmentally friendly as one Kickstart Flo Kit replaces over 1,000 disposable sanitary pads. They are hypoallergenic in that they contain no chemicals that could cause skin irritations and infections such as those that may result from the use of disposable pads. The absence of chemicals ensures there is no unpleasant odour and this can even reduce menstrual cramps. Not having to buy pads for five years saves a lot of money. Palesa Pads are clean and easy to use, even for young girls.

Thank you for your support.

Did you know?
Young girls miss 2-5 days of school each month, simply because they cannot afford to buy the sanitary products they need.
