Flu Vaccination – Staggered Approach
As winter approaches, it’s important you protect yourself from the flu. We’re encouraging all colleagues to get the flu vaccine so you have the best protection possible ahead of the coldest months of the year.
To streamline the flu vaccination process, we’ll be implementing an approach that sees us vaccinate particular floors on particular days. According to where you are in the building, please take note of the day you should go for your flu vaccine.
2nd, 3rd and 4th Floors – Thursday 18 May, 09h00 – 11h30, Meeting Rm 8 (2nd Floor)
5th Floor – Tuesday 16 May, 09h00 – 12h00, Meeting Rm 5 (5th Floor) Wednesday 17 May, 09h00 – 12h00, Meeting Rm 5 (5th Floor)
The vaccine decreases the risk of severe flu illness and is particularly recommended for people at risk of health complications. This includes pregnant or immunocompromised individuals, people with co-morbidities, and the elderly. While the vaccine does not guarantee immunity from the flu, it can stop you from getting seriously ill.
Getting the flu vaccination is free for all employees and contractors.
For those with Vitality membership, the vaccine can be logged for Vitality points.
It’s safe to have the flu vaccine before, at the same time as, or after the COVID-19 vaccine.
