Vergelegen Wine Estate, located in Somerset West, South Africa, is a historic wine farm with a legacy dating back to 1700. It’s renowned for its world-class
wines, exquisite gardens, and refined cuisine. In October 1987, Anglo American purchased the Vergelegen wine estate.

Among the many projects undertaken on the Estate was an extensive programme of clearing invasive alien vegetation, land rehabilitation and restoration of
the Estate’s historic core.
