Flu Vaccinations Still Available
We’re now well into winter and it remains important that you protect yourself from flu. We’re encouraging all colleagues to get the flu vaccine, so you have the best protection possible during the coldest months of the year.
The vaccine decreases the risk of severe flu illness and is particularly recommended for people at risk of health complications. This includes pregnant or immunocompromised individuals, people with co-morbidities, and the elderly.
While the vaccine does not guarantee immunity from the flu, it can stop you from getting seriously ill.
Getting the flu vaccination is free for all employees and contractors. For those with Vitality membership, the vaccine can be logged for Vitality points.
To get your vaccine, visit the Anglo Clinic on the 6th floor of 144 Oxford anytime between 08h00 and 16h00. If you are going to Travel Doctor Corporate at Firestation Rosebank for medicals and travel consultations, you can also request the flu vaccine while there.
