Parking Guidelines At 144 Oxford

When coming to the corporate office at 144 Oxford, Rosebank, please follow the below parking rules and regulations:

  • Exercise caution when approaching the boom gate, ensuring it fully opens before you proceed. Tailgating is strictly prohibited.
  • Follow all instructions as may be given by the security officials on duty.
  • Ensure you park only in an Anglo American parking bay. All Anglo American bays are identifiable by means of overhead signage. Cars parked in bays not allocated to Anglo American, will be clamped and the clamp released only upon payment of a fine.
  • Your visitors should only park in visitors’ bays. These are located on P1, and are exclusively reserved for visitors to the premises.
  • Please also note that only reverse parking is allowed. When you park, please do so at an appropriate angle so other cars can park next to you.
Please avoid straddling two bays when you park.
  • Maintain high awareness of other drivers when entering and exiting the parkade. Keep a safe following distance, first allowing the vehicle in front of you to safely park.
  • Keep to the speed limit of 15 kilometers per hour, and wear your seatbelt at all times.
  • As you proceed into the parkade you will notice two speed readers, which will flash red if you drive at over 15km/h. Please ensure you drive below this speed, which will be indicated by the speed reader flashing green.
  • Put your headlights on to increase your visibility to other drivers and pedestrians.
  • Even when in your own vehicle, refrain from smoking once you drive onto the premises.
  • Lock your vehicle securely, putting any valuables out of sight.

Large vehicle guidelines

  • If you drive a large vehicle, such as an SUV (sports utility vehicle), 4Ă—4, double cab bakkie, or any other car model with a lengthier than normal body, please avoid parking on the sloping ramps between the parkade levels. Defer to parking your large vehicle on the flat parking levels, or in parking bays not restricted by walls at the rear.
  • The reason is that large vehicles, when parked on the sloping ramps, tend to protrude into the lanes, hampering the easy flow of traffic in and out of the parkade.

Immediately report any unsafe behaviour to the CSD Helpdesk by emailing Helpdesk144Oxford@angloamerican.com and lifeskillsjhb@angloamerican.com.
