MineHERS Documentary

Watch the MineHERS documentary on the history of women in mining.

Last week, those at 144 Oxford joined us for an afternoon of popcorn and slushies in Imbizo Auditorium as we caught up on the history of women in mining.

We aired a compelling 30-min documentary by Women in Mining South Africa (WiMSA). The documentary celebrated women’s contribution and participation in the South African mining sector and the role WiMSA has played over its 12-year history to be a platform to celebrate and promote women in the industry. The thought-provoking production allowed for reflections on the journey travelled, and included conversations around the challenges women still face in the industry.
