Distractions are all around us and not only affect productivity but can also pose a significant safety risk

We may not be able to recognise hazards efficiently when we are distracted, which can lead to serious injuries and even death. While it may not be possible to eliminate all distractions on the job or in our surroundings, it’s important to recognise when they are likely to happen and take steps to mitigate their influence on our safety.
