Obstructions to Emergency Fire Equipment
We have been experiencing a number of incidents of malicious/deliberate actions in and around essential fire equipment, related to the incorrect disposal of waste.
Obstructing or otherwise obscuring fire equipment poses a very high safety hazard in terms of access to critical and possibly lifesaving equipment, as well as possibly damaging the fire telephone and its electrics.
All colleagues are urged to refrain from placing any items on or around emergency fire equipment.
The building has several areas where waste can safely be disposed of, including specific recycling bins for plastic, paper and glass items.
Please use the correct disposal areas to dispose of any waste, and please contact the Helpdesk for assistance (helpdesk144oxford@angloamerican.com) should you need to dispose of heavier or larger items, or those with unusual dimensions.
