Season of Hope

You can help by donating Nestle Nan Pelargon 1 and 2 baby formula.

While we may not be able to help end world hunger immediately, we can do something today, to help a deserving local organisation.

We are reaching out to our staff, to please join us by donating baby formula, specifically tins of Nestle Nan Pelargon 1 and 2 baby formulas. The reason for this is that Othandweni, our beneficiary organisation also cares for special-needs babies who have been diagnosed as HIV-positive.
This biologically acidified formula helps prevent the growth of harmful bacteria that can be present in food preparation.

Please drop your tins of Nestle Nan Pelargon 1 and 2 baby formulas, even if it’s just one, (of course, you are free to get as many tins as you can manage), into our collection box at the canteen, from 30 November up until 12 December 2022.

Othandweni, the place of love

The organisation that we have selected to help is Othandweni, which means ‘Place of Love’, situated in Mofolo South, Soweto. The organisation offers residential care for children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected, and has been in operation since 1984. Othandweni currently cares for a total of 90 children, ranging in age from birth to 18 years, and also for babies, toddlers and children who are HIV positive.

Working against the clock?

If time is not on your side, how about you simply add Nestle Nan Pelargon 1 or 2 to your online order when you’re next getting your groceries? Remember, there is no limit to the quantity you can purchase, even if it’s just one tin, it will be greatly appreciated.

Then, simply pop them into our donation box in the reception area at 144 Oxford.

World AIDS Day

In the spirit of World AIDS Day, commemorated on 1 December 2022, and in solidarity of the joint UN programme for a generation free of HIV by 2030, let’s commit to always making a difference. Anglo American is making strides towards this initiative, and we thank you for joining us in the fight to end this worldwide pandemic. Let us ensure that no one is left behind.
