PinkDrive at 144 Oxford

On 27 and 28 October, a beautiful pink truck will be parked at 144 Oxford, allowing for South Africa´s best-loved Breast Cancer Community Carer, PinkDrive, to offer free mammograms and prostate cancer screenings to those who book an appointment.

PinkDrive, a health sector NGO, was founded in 2009 by Ms. Noelene Kotschan, on the premise that “Early detection will help to prolong a life.”

The truck is the power behind South Africa’s first mobile PinkDrive Mammography Unit and PinkDrive Educational Unit that travels throughout South Africa, its cardinal purpose being to contribute meaningfully to preventing as many people as possible from succumbing to breast, cervical, prostate and testicular cancer.

Details will soon be shared on how to book your slot. As a show of support in the fight against all kinds of cancers, we encourage everyone to wear pink on the days the truck will be here Thursday 27 and Friday 28 October. Should you not manage to get an appointment, the pink truck will be back early next year and you can test then.

Watch this space for more details.
