Do You Still Have Unpacked Boxes?

Claim it, label it or it goes to Cornerstone.

What you need to know:

  • The contents of desks and storerooms at our old premises were packed up in boxes as part of the move to 144 Oxford
  • Many of these have still not been unpacked and pose a fire and safety risk
  • The contents of these boxes will be moved off-site by Friday 16 September 2022

What you need to do:

  • Unpack boxes that contain contents you’d like to keep, or
  • Use the stickers provided by Facilities to indicate what you’d like done with your boxes

As part of the move to 144 Oxford, the contents of desks and storerooms at our old premises were carefully packed up, boxed, transported and stored on the box owner’s new floor.
Ideally, we would have liked these boxes unpacked soon after we all arrived. Unfortunately, almost a full year later, there are still a number of unpacked boxes cluttering various floors, posing an increasingly pressing safety and fire risk.

Boxes must be unpacked, or marked for digitisation/archive/destroy. Unclaimed boxes will be moved to Cornerstone. Everything to be completed by September 16.

Facilities will provide stickers for the unpacked boxes so the relevant owner can indicate what they’d like done with them. Alternatively, the responsible party can choose to unpack the boxes themselves or keep them safe in one of the storerooms located in the parkade.

Please use only the storeroom allocated to your particular team or business function, and please do not create new safety hazards by packing the storerooms to capacity.

We encourage you to decide well in time what you would like to do with your unpacked boxes, noting that any boxes with no action taken on them will be moved to Cornerstone, where the team will recommend digitisation.
