Dear Colleague,

In October 2020, we conducted a digital survey and hosted focus groups with our employees in the Johannesburg Corporate Office. We wanted to learn more about how you felt about the move and your view of the future of work. These results include responses from Group Function and Group Shared Services (GSS), T&S and Anglo American Platinum.

In total, 922 employees participated in the survey, adding up to a 64% response rate, with an additional 350 employees taking part in 16 focus groups. On behalf of the executive team, we would like to take this opportunity to personally thank each and every one of you who played your part.

Your feedback and insights were invaluable, and have provided a clear indication of how you feel about the move, what you're most excited and concerned about, as well as your expectations for the future.

Below you will find a summation of the Johannesburg Corporate Office survey results on moving to an agile new home.

We are encouraged to see so many of you committed to the move. While your health and safety is our number one priority; the main reason for the move is to create an agile working environment that works for you.

The new facilities support an agile and smart new way of working. Collaboration and cross-pollination will drive innovation and productivity.

Currently, our move is set to take place in the second half of 2021.

We commit to keeping you updated regularly about the move. We look forward to sharing these updates and other exciting new developments as and when they happen.

2020 was a tough year for everyone. We thank you for your ongoing support and with our impending move, there’s a lot to look forward to, together.
