Oxford Parks building, home to our Global Shared Service (GSS) business, has achieved an unprecedented 6-star green rating across all categories: build, design, interiors, and net zero carbon Level 1.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This milestone makes it the first building in South Africa to secure this prestigious rating in every category.<\/p>

At the plaque handover event held earlier today, Anglo American received the 6-star green rating from Intaprop; Oxford Parks Precinct building developer.
The Green Building Council of South Africa, awarded this to Intaprop, marking the GSS building the first to receive this accolade within its portfolio.<\/p>

This achievement highlights Anglo American\u2019s commitment to creating workspaces that not only foster innovation and wellbeing; but also minimises environmental impact.<\/p>

Nolitha Fakude, Anglo American South Africa Chairperson said that the organisation is fully committed to realising its sustainability goals, and this significant milestone demonstrates it. \u201cI\u2019m proud that this first 6-star green rating building is home to one of our businesses. Through innovation and partnership, we can contribute meaningfully and continue to play a pivotal role in supporting a sustainable future for all.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

About Oxford Parks building 6-star green rating:<\/strong><\/p>

The Oxford Parks building is a leader in sustainable design, incorporating features that benefit both the planet and those who work in it. Three main Green Star requirements had to be met before the project commenced with demolition and construction: a Waste Management Plan (WMP), an Environmental Management Plan (EMP), and a Hazardous Waste Management Survey on existing buildings.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
