There are other precautions you can take when working at heights to help keep yourself, your family and colleagues safe, which include:<\/p>

  • Making sure that walkways are free from tripping hazards.<\/li>
  • Having good lighting in work areas.<\/li>
  • Putting physical or hard barriers in place to prevent unauthorised access, with warning signage.<\/li>
  • Using a proper working platform rather than a ladder.<\/li>
  • Maintaining three points of contact at all times.<\/li>
  • Having stable footing.<\/li>
  • Ensuring safe access to elevated work platforms.<\/li>
