This year, let’s join Anglo American Platinum in their BOLD stance for the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) by focusing on transgender and transitioning.<\/p>

Be sure not to miss this courageous session where we will learn from eachother how to shape a culture of inclusion and diversity.<\/p>

As part of Platinum’s ongoing Light the Way \u2013 Extinguish GBV<\/strong> campaign, this curious and courageous conversation will help us understand how gender transitioning and gender dysphoria (sense of unease\/distress that one’s assigned birth gender does not match their gender identity) affect one\u2019s psychological wellbeing. We will also delve into the impact it has on social relationships, as well as address the consequences of bullying, harassment and victimisation (BHV).<\/p>

The session will be driven by individuals\u2019 personal narratives as we harness the power of storytelling and shared experiences to build understanding and create a more inclusive workplace.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Ashmore is a committed transformation manager at the University of Johannesburg, leading initiatives to enhance diversity, equity and inclusion across the institution.<\/p>

Passionate about fostering inclusivity, she collaborates with various university members to develop policies and programmes that celebrate diversity. Advocating for the rights of the LGBTQI community and persons with disabilities, she drives awareness campaigns at UJ.<\/p>

Currently, she is pursuing an MBA at the Johannesburg Business School.<\/p>

She openly shares her personal journey as a transgender woman, advocating for safe and inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.
